United Nursery started in 1998 as a small, family-run farm on five acres in Homestead, Florida. Founded by the De Izaguirre family with a passion for plants and a commitment to quality, the business has grown into one of the nation’s top growers of indoor tropical, blooming, and exotic plants. Today, United Nursery spans hundreds of acres, employs over 100 team members, and supplies millions of plants annually to national retailers, garden centers, and a thriving eCommerce community. Rooted in care, expertise, and integrity, we’re proud to help bring vibrant greenery into homes across the country.
They Grew and So Did We
It all began with just three standout plant varieties—Boston Ferns, Mandevillas, and Hibiscus Assortments. Twenty-six years later, we now grow over 300 plant varieties, ranging from lush tropicals to low-maintenance favorites. Today, we proudly supply everything from big-box retailers to local garden centers—and help individual customers across the U.S. buy plants online with confidence.
Our Plants Travel Far and Wide
Whether it’s a large wholesale plant order or a single leafy friend for someone’s home, we ship to plant lovers across the U.S.—with just a couple of exceptions. We don’t currently ship to Hawaii or Alaska. Most plants can head to California and Arizona, though a few specific plant varieties are limited due to USDA guidelines.
