Plant Care
How do I care for my new plant when it arrives?
How do I care for my new plant when it arrives?
After unboxing, place your plant in a spot with bright, indirect light and let it acclimate for 24–48 hours before watering. Avoid repotting right away to reduce transplant shock. Every plant comes with care instructions to help it settle in and thrive.
How often should I water my houseplants?
How often should I water my houseplants?
Most houseplants should be watered when the top inch of soil feels dry. Rather than watering on a fixed schedule, check soil moisture weekly and adjust based on light, temperature, and humidity. Overwatering is a common issue, so it's better to underwater slightly than keep the soil constantly wet.
What kind of light do my plants need?
What kind of light do my plants need?
Most houseplants prefer bright, indirect light—sunlight filtered through a curtain or near a window without direct exposure. Too much direct sun can scorch leaves, while too little light can slow growth. Always match your plant’s light needs with the conditions in your space for best results.
Why are my plant’s leaves turning yellow or brown?
Why are my plant’s leaves turning yellow or brown?
If your plant just arrived, yellow or brown leaves may be part of its natural adjustment to a new environment. Give it up to two weeks to settle in. After that, check for common issues like overwatering, dry air, or too much sunlight. Trimming damaged leaves can also encourage new healthy growth.
When should I repot my plant?
When should I repot my plant?
Repot your plant when you see roots growing out of the drainage holes or the soil dries out too quickly. This usually happens every 12–18 months. Choose a pot 1–2 inches wider to give your plant room to grow.
