Duranta has a beautiful violet and white flowers that are almost like orchids in their beauty. The Duranta is a rapid growing, dense shrub with small glossy leaves. It blooms the best in heavy sun. Being a tropical shrub it is cultivated in the warmest parts of the US and grown as an annual in the rest of the country. In the Fall plant in a container, and it will make a wonderful indoor plant near any large sunny window.
